One of the Most Liberating Things I Ever Did......

A Liberating Choice

Was to Create and Stick to a Budget.

Are you surprised?  Most people probably don't associate a budget or limits of any kind with freedom.  I used to be one of those people. Then I quit my corporate job and things got tighter financially. I started experiencing stress about things like paying the car insurance. Somehow bills always got paid but not without a lot of worrying. A friend of mine was using a budgeting system that he was actually excited about (can you imagine?!) so I asked him to help me create mine. At first it was scary keeping such close track of everything and seeing how little disposable income we had but the day my next bill for car insurance arrived, I simply wrote a check and paid it. No stress whatsoever! That's where the freedom comes in. I was excited too! When we take time to establish boundaries, it's so much easier to remember what will work well for us and what won't. It also lets us make more informed decisions when we decide to step outside them. That's freedom!

Here is the Question:

What area of your life would benefit from setting some boundaries?
