New Years Goals

tie it to a goal, not to people or things."  -Albert Einstein

It's the season of setting goals for the new year! There are all sorts of processes and guides about how to set effective goals. Some of them have even been featured in my questions. Recently I found an article that approaches the topic from the opposite perspective: How to Set the Wrong Goals. And although this article is tongue in cheek, you might recognize one of your thoughts or beliefs that keeps you from making progress toward your goals. So, if one of your goals is, or has been for a long time, to get better organized, begin to think about how you could give that goal some structure to ensure that you reach it. One easy step could be to schedule time on your calendar to actually get started.

Here's the Question:

What elements are missing from the setting of your goals?
